After many, many days of waiting and preparations I finally set off at 7:30. My family helped to get all my stuff downstairs, quick photo, good-bye, and that was it.

I knew the roads in and out of Vienna so no problems at that stage. Generally speaking all the time heading west. Danube River crosses Vienna roughly south-north, so I decided to make the shortcut and to intercept it again at Melk (objective of day 1) where it turns west.

First few hours were strange, first of all I had to get used to much, much heavier bike than usual. Additional 30kg can really disturb when you want to make a quick turn or stop. Well, somehow I managed. At least for the time being it was flat. Later it got worse... somewhere about 30 km outside of Vienna, I decide to make a shortcut and... spend 1.5 hrs climbing up the hill. That was my first one (but worse were to come yet).

The site used to be about biking only, however since you cannot bike all year long, especially when you have to work and do other home stuff, so in between other things do happen and from time to time I am putting on my site also other stuff. But let's concentrate on biking for a while....

How did all this start?

Whatever it was, I organized everything very quickly and in about 2 months I was on the road. I must say I found fantastic way of resting and a good escape from every day living. 

Austria is a great place to cycle and I would encourage anyone who is still hesitating.

Having made my mind on the trip I spent lots of time searching through the internet looking for sites related to bicycle travels. Actually most of the preparations I spent finding and reading everything about other trips.

My friends from the office - Robert and Delyan - had recently some fun working in Nigeria. 

Around a month in Lagos and visit to Ajuba. Now upon their return Delyan agreed to publish his pictures from there! WOW, to say the least.

Some of them may seem similar or duplicated, but I have already filtered some! Otherwise it would be even more. I believe they show to certain extend real daily life of over there. Similar to India but on the other had different.  Completely different way of life and perception.
